Fr. Michael Jegankumar Coonghe is an Oblate priest of the congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) since 2011. After philosophical and theological studies in Sri Lanka, he obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Theology degree at the Urbaniana Pontifical University in Rome. From 2012 to 2016, he took a licentiate in Sacred Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. In addition, he acquired a diploma in Hebrew at the Jerusalem University. Currently he is a lecturer at the St. Francis Xavier Major Seminary in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, and heads the Oblate Spiritual Animation Center in Kopai.
